Combining ergonomic modern design together with the latest in noise suppression technology, the Jawbone PRIME Bluetooth earpiece eliminates real world noise better than any other earpiece--even better than its predecessor, the Jawbone 2--thanks to the improved NoiseAssassin 2.0 technology. The Jawbone PRIME can handle wind up to 10 mph, enabling you to have intelligible dialogs while maintaining the natural sound of the your voice.

The PRIME earpiece features a distinctive undulating texture, crafted together with high precision in 3-D to reflect the light and provide a sense of movement to the exterior surfaces. The design has in addition been increased by a slight indication in the shield's texture, a small tactile crease this means where the switch is placed. The inside contour of the PRIME follows the curve of your face comfortably. And together with three round Earbuds, three New Fit Earbuds and an optional earloop, you can select what works excellent for your unique ear.

The Jawbone PRIME consists of Multipoint functionality and can be concurrently connected to two Bluetooth enabled devices. To charge the PRIME's internal battery, you can use the integrated AC wall charger, or plug the USB cable into your computer (full charge takes approximately 50 minutes).

The Technology Behind Jawbone PRIME

Originally developed for use in tanks and helicopters, Jawbone PRIME's NoiseAssassin is a proprietary technology this eliminates background noise from mobile phone dialogs. Jawbone is the only Bluetooth earpiece together with a Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) this actually feels your speech, which helps Jawbone differentiate your voice from background noise. The NoiseAssassin 2.0 technology embedded in the PRIME brings an order of magnitude innovation in the noisiest settings (6 to 9dB) extracting even extra noise while keeping the customer's voice natural.

The Acoustic Voice Activity Detector (AVAD) offers a fail-safe mechanism when the Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) doesn't touch your face. When the VAS is not touching the face, Jawbone PRIME performs as good as or better than any other noise-cancelling earpiece. When the VAS touches the face, you get the turbo-boost to the NoiseAssassin performance.

I've used multiple headsets prior to the jawbone prime. To be fair, none of the previous headsets are of the same quality nor do they provide the customer service that comes with the hefty price tags. However, in my opinion, the Jawbone Prime is the best headset that I've used and it comes with very good customer service. When I needed help in setting up my Jawbone Prime, I called customer support and we walked through all the steps needed to get the device working properly. After that..a test call confirmed that it was indeed working properly. Finally an email was sent with the steps that were used to get the device in working order. Now it pairs to my phone with ease and sounds great. The fit is nice and comfortable and stays put when moving around at a normal pace.

This is my third bluetooth earpiece, and my favorite. I use it almost every day, and it is comfortable, easy to insert and remove, and has surprisingly good sound quality, even in challenging outdoor conditions such as high wind. By far the best bluetooth earpiece I have used.

I have owned a few bluetooths and was expecting this would be better than the older (non Jawbone) ones.

The good ... not much for me

The bad
- buttons are to sensitive (or too close together) Just touching the thing to adjust how it's fitting in my ear causes a disconnection). Missing the volumn button caused a disconnection.
- the sound quality is average at best. I dont need/use the noice filtering so cant comment on how good it is with that.

...going back to my motorola H710

Price: Expensive relative to other headsets
Setup: Easy
Fit: Good, with multiple options to fit your ear
Company Support: I called the manufacturer for a different size ear piece and they sent it second day without hesitation.
Functionality: The delay in the transfer from the phone to the headset does take some getting used.
Would I buy again?: No question.
