Great phone considering... 2010-07-16 |
| By R. Yen (Florida) |
| My husband and I recently upgraded from the Katana II to the LG Lotus Elite. It's a great phone considering it's not a "smart phone". It has more features than we'll ever need, including the ability to send/receive email from our own email server. The touch screen, menu, and features are very user friendly and everything is working as it should. My husband is 6'2" with large hands, and has no problem with the qwerty keyboard. For those not aware, the key to texting is to use the top corner of your thumbs... and don't try to type the way you would on a normal key board. So far we are both loving our new Lotus Elite phones. |
Great Phone! 2010-06-26 |
| By Coconutzle (FL USA) |
| I really like this phone. It may not be for everyone mainly because of the size. It works great though. Nice speaker! I wish they would have put a flash on the camera and the screen is slightly small. But to me this phone has the best of both worlds....a flip and full qwerty! |
Second One 2010-06-18 |
| By T. Anderson (Wichita, KS) |
I had the first Lotus loved it, then went back to a blackberry hated it, then back to the Lotus Elite and I am in love all over again. Much more solid feeling than the first one, better coverage, more options, still trying to figure it out.
I like the full keyboard but also the flip phone style, blackberry always felt WAY too big in my pocket, the lotus does everything I need it to. Better and with more style than the blackberry, I did not go with the red one, that is the only thing I could not stand was the red phone...so I did go with the black one and all I can say is I truly do love this phone. One more thing the charging port is a little fragile so be carefull pluging in and taking the charger out, I did have to fix the port twice on my first one!
If you're looking for something that is cross between smart and great then you need to get the Lotus Elite you won't be sorry... |

Okay - not great 2010-05-01 |
| By The one with all the toys (Detroit, MI) |
I got this phone because I wanted something a little more than 'just a phone' but didn't need all the perks of having a phone with a bunch of features like a PDA.
I thought a phone with a full keyboard would be nice, but this is not the best for it. The keys are so small it really is hard to type anything at all including a basic phone number. Unless I've pre-programmed a number, I use a pen tip or end of a pencil to push the numbers because they are literally that small. If you're the kind of person who likes to text a lot, this is NOT the phone for you. BTW, I am a woman with small hands so if it's hard for me ...
I liked the idea of it being able to play video, and while it does take okay video, it only can do .3g2 format, so forget playing any .avi video unless you have a converter, and even then, trying to get at least the audio to sound good is a chore.
It does take nice pictures though.
On the plus side - the battery lasts a long time. Audio quality is good. But for all the bulk and uselessness of most of the 'features' of the phone ... I could have just stuck to my old phone and done w/o taking pictures.
