Customer Reviews
Customer rating is 2 of 5  Wish it was better.   2010-08-28
By Amber L. Regnier (MI, USA)
I bought this phone in May of 2009. It was time for an upgrade and I was debating between the Impression or Xenon. I eneded up with the Xenon because it was $100 cheaper, I still beat myself over the head for not going with the other one. As far as the phone goes it really is good. It is user friendly and great for texting. The keyboard takes some getting used to becuase they put the email button in a very bad spot, so everytime it is clicked it tries to connect to the internet. The screen in very nice and responive, and the camera takes pretty good pictures for such low mega pixels. Call quality is good, and so is the speaker.
Okay now for why it really isn't a good phone. It can only hold a little over 100 messages before it fills up. Since day one it has frozen on me while sending a message. Recently it has been doing it 4-5 times a day. These phones are supposed to be good for 2yrs and I have had it a little over a year. Also the vibrate mode is very poor. I sometimes can't feel it go off in my pocket. Battery life is okay, but could be better.
I looking for a replacement now.
Customer rating is 1 of 5  Great at first, but breaks later on!!!   2010-05-12
By C. Gauger (Everett, WA USA)
We bought four of these and loved them at first.

The screen on my phone stopped rotating when engaging the QWERTY keyboard after a few months. AT&T replaced with no problem, but now my son's phone is doing the same thing!!

And NOW, my replacement phone is randomly turning itself off!! So frustrating!!!

I also agree with the reviewer who said that the phone scratches easily.

DON'T buy this phone.
Customer rating is 5 of 5  Great phone!   2010-04-19
By Meredith L. Snodgrass
I just bought this phone a few days ago and I love it! It doesn't freeze up and since I text alot its great for that. I don't know what people have against it. I was told the LG Neon is the bad phone you don't want to get. I heard it was the worst one you could get. I love this phone and I plan to keep it for awhile. The guy I bought it from told me I would love it and not want to trade it in on another phone and he was right! I do love it!
Customer rating is 2 of 5  everything is great but the signal strength   2010-03-15
By V. Collum (Studio City, CA United States)
I love how this phone looks, feels, how responsive the keyboard is, BUT it drops calls and reception is poor. My mom doesn't even like to talk to me anymore cause the reception is so bad. "Can you hear me now?" is a frequent question because we can't hear each other.

If only this phone had better reception it'd be perfect. My old motorola has superior reception and never dropped a call and the service is the same: AT&T.
Customer rating is 4 of 5  overall good phone for heavy texters   2010-02-16
By Karen Schwinn (ca)
My family and I all got the blue lg xenon and were exited because it looked like such a cool phone. My daughter loved sliders phones, and also wanted a full qwerty keyboard, and maybe a touchscreen. Many of her friends had this phone and they all loved it so i decided that this was the phone to get.
Positives:
- keys are good-sized on keyboard
- touch screen is pretty responsive, not the best, but good. i also loved the vibration feedback, very helpful.
- blue color is awesome
- the favorites and favorite contacts were very helpful, because sometimes the menu is so large it is annoying to have to go through all the categories to find what you want
- great for texting
- the multitaskinng key was very useful, it lets you do many different things st once
- the xenon takes great pictures even though it is only 2 megapixel

Negatives:
- battery life isnt very good, but that just may be because i text so much
- this phone scratches VERY EASILY. DO NOT DROP IT.
- you cannot make a recording your ringtone
- the speaker phone isnt very loud or high quality
- the web browser shortcut key is located in a place where you will accidentally press it, so you may have to pay data charges
- sometimes your pictureID just doesnt save
- sometimes, after i send a message, it goes to a blank screen where the back key doesnt work, and to get out of it, you must slide the phone

Overall, thhis is a great phone and i would recomend it to anyone who loves texting even though there are some flaws.
