Not showing date and time?? 2010-05-17 |
| By R. Liu |
I just received it 3 days ago and use it with T-mobile prepaid plan. It's very basic phone, works ok to me.
The problem I have is that it doesn't show date and time! It used to show these without any SIM card, once I plug the SIM card in, the place it used to show time was taken by "BROWSER". I have tried changed the settings but it didn't work. Also checked [...]. The tech support is poor there. I will call them tomorrow to see if they can resolve this problem.
Until this issue is resolved, do not buy it unless you want to wear a watch at the same time. |
Great Phone 2010-03-29 |
| By A Reader (Illinois) |
This phone is a great phone for either the nostalgist, life-simplifier, or quasi-luddite. It is a simple device, basically just good for sending and recieving calls and the occasional text message.
Its durability recalls phones of times past ... I have dropped it from three meters with no change in functionality, and partially submerged it in liquid and it still functions beautifully.
Add to all of this, that it represents at least an attempt by the electronics industry to use recycled components and minimize the carbon footprint of their operations, I think this is just a swell handset. |
semi-piece of junk 2010-03-10 |
| By Kenneth Sandberg (Shingletown, CA) |
| The good news is it wasn't that expensive, the bad news was it didn't work for me. I live in a fringe area, and reception is nay (neigh?)impossible with this product. I guess I will continue to live in the twentieth century for cell phones. (Like not own one.) Even getting the thing activated was a pain as I was out of the area for activation. My advice is this phone may be fine if you live in a city area, but if it's rural, forget it. |
Great basic phone! 2010-02-20 |
| By R. Booker (Minneapolis, MN United States) |
| I was looking for a basic, no extra frills phone for a good price and the Renew fit the bill. |
poor battery life and reception 2009-12-06 |
| By frootbroot |
| Not getting anywhere near 18days of standby time, maybe only 3days? Also, poor reception compared to other phones I've used. Only reason for a two star review is that the phone is cheap... |
