Started out okay but then had to return them 2010-09-03 |
| By J. Lotz |
As others before me have mentioned these headphones feel very light and cheap but I'm not rough on the things I own so I figured as long as they worked and lasted me a decent amount time that was fine with me. I charged the headphones, connected them with my iPhone 4 and started listening to music. These Rokr's sounded fine (I wasn't going to be picky about them since they are bluetooth and inexpensive). The forward and backward track buttons didn't work with my iPhone 4 which I read may be the case but the pause button did. I never got a chance to try out the phone button so I can't comment on that. I did make a few calls while wearing these headphones and all people I called said I sounded normal but they didn't sound normal to me. They sounded distant and sorta...echoey/tinny/something. That was okay with me though since I didn't buy these to make phone calls and even though the audio quality of phone calls wasn't great I was still able to understand what people were saying.
After wearing these for a while I noticed that the plastic band had some ridges (I suppose from how they came out of the mold) that bothered my ears after wearing them for 10-15 minutes but I was going to use some fine sand paper to sand down the ridges so they'd be more comfortable to wear if I decided to keep them.
Why did I finally return these headphones after noting all the problems with them and still planning on keeping them? The second day I had them I was going to use them while working out in my home gym. My workout room is about 10' X 10' just to give you an idea of the space im talking about. I connected the Rokr to my iPhone 4 (updated to the latest software by the way) started my music and put the iphone on a table in my workout room. When I started to walk away from my phone, just a few feet away, the music started skipping many times a minute. Totally unnaceptable to me. Now I need to find another set of bluetooth headphones that work better for me. |
Help at last ! 2010-09-03 |

| Earpieces and the UNDERVOLUMED iPhone just don't work for me. This very reasonably priced headset does. Finally reasonable volume. Thanks Moto! |
Excellent Bluetooth Headphones 2010-09-03 |

| These things are perfect for about an hour or two of use. The sound is flawless and has good bass. The head-set controls are wonderful for giving you mobility. i use them primarily for about an hour work out each day. They do not make my ears sore during an hour of use, but once when i used them for a 4 hour period i did start to feel the weight just a little. They feel kind of flimsy but are actually quite strong and flexible. The charge lasts 5-6 hours for me, sometimes outlasting my somewhat aged iPod. I have no real complaints about these but wouldnt wear them for more than an hour or two. |
Very dissapointed... 2010-09-03 |
| By M. Clouse (Dayton, Oh USA) |
I bought one of these a month ago and was very happy with them.... easy to use, very lightweight, and no problems. So I thought I would buy 3 more for gifts. The first one I gave away broke -- died -- before the first charge was out. The second pair lasted 2 charges. I just opened the third one --I'll let you know -- but so far -- thats a 50% failure rate. I bought the kind that had the electronics in the back of the headband last time -- when you workout and sweat -- those couldnt take it and fried almost immediately. I thought these would be better because all the electronics are in the right ear -- sweat couldnt possibly ruin these -- right? What the heck is the point of having a set of headphones like this for workingout if you are not allowed to sweat for fear of ruining them......
If your using them in the office, at home -- anyplace your not going to sweat -- they are great. Just don't use them for working out, cutting the grass, walking, running, etc.... How dissapointing. |
Works great. 2010-09-02 |
| By A. B. Hsieh (Irving, TX USA) |
Don't have much to say, I've been using this headset for only a day. Paired with my phone easily with no issues. After reading the reviews here before I purchased it, I was surprised at the sound quality since so many people had complained about it. It's not the same quality as what you'd get out of a $100 pair of headphones but music comes through sounding pretty damn good.
Tried taking a few calls though it and that works pretty good too. The buttons will take some getting used to hitting without looking at them. Battery life seems to be good so far, used it for maybe an hour last night, and have been using it today for a few hours at least and still going strong.
For $30, you'd be hard pressed to find a better headset with as good call and music quality. |
